What's brightly colored, warm, and never going to be worn in the summer?

These socks. This pattern was a good challenge for me. I'm not thrilled with the bright colors of the yarn, but what the heck. They'll definitely be worn.

Pattern: Los Monos Locos by Knitting Sutra
Mods: Used DPNs, short row toe and heel.
Yarn: The Painted Tiger Superwash Merino Wool - 1 skein
Colorway: Tropical Rainbow
Needles: US 1 and 1.5

Ha ha, if you keep going at this rate, you will never need to buy socks again! I wonder if there are any summer type things you could knit - or a crocheted bikini perhaps? ;-)

I love the socks Emily. I have to try the pattern; I really prefer toe up socks and this would take the guess work out of it. I really love the colourway - totally outrageous!

Heck yes! So pretty! I'd love them in a pair of Birkies.

Still digging the socks. I so wish I wore closed toe shoes and had a need for them - I'd put in an order!
