Happy birthday Darin!
Today's my husband's birthday. I don't know why, but I've been accidentally telling people that he's one year older than he really is. I suppose I'm already cringing at the thought that I'll be celebrating a big one soon and have been just subtracting one year from that number for him. Sorry, D.
Well, I hope this snow continues to fall so he'll be hitting the slopes soon...as soon as his cold clears up. And fingers crossed people that this winter doesn't suck, snow-wise, like it did last year.
I'm off to start preparing sushi for D's birthday dinner tonight. Maybe this'll be a new birthday tradition since the last time I made sushi was a year ago. Luckily, I don't have anything else to do today but make sushi because the process exhausts me. I really don't know how sushi chefs can stand doing it day after day.

It'll be well worth all the hard work Em and I am sure the patient/ birthday boy will appreciate it. bon appetit!
Happy Birthday Darin! I really must try and make some sushi. I've never tried but it's something we all really miss. We used to eat it at least once a week in Brisbane
:)
Happy day to Darin! Enjoy the sushi. My cousin married a Japanese woman so we have sushi on major holidays now. I wish I liked it; I've tried it in many forms, but nope. My feelings about sushi aside, I *am* impressed that you make it!!
Hope the sushi was delicious and please pass along a belated joyeux anniversaire to Darin!
Happy Belated Birthday to your husband, Emily! I *LOVE* sushi, and I've had a couple lessons on how to make maki, but I've never tried it on my own at home... Will have to give it a go one of these days! Nothing like some delicious sushi with ginger and wasabi...
How was the sushi? What a great tradition!
