Tiphanie and Tootsie Pops.

My college friend, Tiphanie, just left after spending a quick, but very fun 2 nights with us. So far, she's the only female friend who's visited us twice (so far). We ran out of medals of honor so she left empty handed. Sorry, Tiph. She came bearing bags of Tootsie Pops. My teeth aren't happy about it. The last time she visited us, I was fairly new to Annecy and the French language. During this trip, she told me that she was impressed when someone approached us asking for directions and 1) I understood the question and 2) was able to give a clear response. That doesn't happen too often. Earlier that day, someone asked us for directions and I didn't understand a word they said.

On another topic, I'm happy to share that my tutor's son, who just took the bac exam, has passed AND got one of the highest scores on the English oral portion of the exam. That's the portion I helped him prepare for. Right now, I'm one proud little unemployed English tutor.
