Save the cupcake!

I'm a huge cupcake fan. Not sure if it's due to it's recent popularity in the US thanks to "Sex in the City" or because I think they're just darn adorable and yummy. I read this article in my fav US newspaper the other day. No more cupcakes in schools? What is this world coming to?

I have yet to see a cupcake in a boulangerie or patisserie here in France. Think they'd be a hit?

Oh definitely :) I, too, am a huge cupcake fan... can't really say why... maybe because you don't have to share them due to their cute little size! (And I'm not good at sharing the things I find to be really delicious).

Oh, how I love a good cupcake! I think they would catch on in France, because whenever I bake them for my daughter's school parties, the French kids inhale them! I made 60 for the end of the year fete~there were only 23 kids and they were gone in less than 5 minutes.

I'm totally getting ready to post about my cupcake eating experience in l.a. (but blogger wouldn't let me post photos the other night). i went to two bakeries that rival magnolia bakery in nyc...

just one gourmet cupcakes cost $3.25

judging from fab's reaction to a delicious red velvet cupcake, i don't know if cupcakes would fly in France. *unless of course it was marketed to expats*
