Read this book.

Do you have a book that you just love to death, would be willing to hire an airplane to write a message across the sky telling everyone that they should read that particular book, or would pass the book out to anyone and everyone (if you had the money, of course)? No, I'm not talking about a particular book by L. Ron Hubbard. I just finished un livre that I highly recommend. A wonderful collection of short stories by the author who also gave us, The Namesake. Each story is beautiful in it's own way. And each tells a story set in India or is a snippet about the life of an Indian. Very colorful. Very emotional. Very delicious. You'll crave for more at the end of each story.

After reading it, you'll probably hunger for some egg curry. To be honest, I've never eaten egg curry, but it sure sounds delicious.

Oh, I have heard WONDERFUL things about that book, and I've been meaning to read it for ages. I actually read an excerpt from it in a collection of short stories compiled by David Sedaris.

Now you've convinced me to pick up a copy... Soon! But as you'll see in my next blog post, I have A LOT of books to get through in the coming weeks already! (and I'm always adding more...)

The one book I highly recommend to EVERYONE who enjoys a book that stays with you, that is intense and affecting, is What I Loved, by Siri Hustvedt. Unforgettable!

I've heard so many good things about this book, I think I just might make it my novel for the plane. Did you see the film version? I love the Bridget Jones books, they are just so damn funny.

I guess my post wasn't too clear that I was talking about Interpreter of Maladies. I have The Namesake on my shelf and plan on reading it very soon.
