Smile-makers.

Yesterday afternoon, I spotted the neighborhood drunk walking down the street donning a bright green feather boa. Huh...I wonder what holiday he's celebrating today? It can't be St. Patricks Day since that was last month unless his "party" is lasting several weeks. It possibly could be for Easter which is just around the corner. Or...maybe it's for Passover which is going on right now? I mean, who wouldn't want to eat matzah and gefilte fish while wearing a green boa.

Last night, one of my fav movies of all time was on TV. I put down my knitting, pulled up a blanket, and parked myself on the couch to laugh and cry through the entire beauty of a film that we call, "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" or for those in the US, "Amelie". If you haven't seen this movie, don't let another minute of your life pass by without renting this yummy goodness. Someone on IMDB said it's "like cotton candy". So true.

Me too, me too! The hubby and I have a small stuffed orangutan that travels with us. Maybe he'll come to Paris and Annecy this summer... I also love the (obscure) part where Amelie thinks the cute guy has stood her up, and her mind creates this web of a story as to why (I think he ends up as a shepherd in Afghanistan). That is *so* me.

Cute movie. I have the collecter's edition DVD and it came with tons of cool stuff like all the polaroids photos of the garden gnome.
