Boxed wine can't be THAT bad.

A few months ago, D and I were introduced to this boxed wine. We were a bit hesistant to try it at first. Boxed wine back home used to be considered crap. Cheap crap. I used to put it in the same category along with good ol' Boone's Farm.

Our views about boxed wine have since changed and now we always have a box sitting on top of our fridge, just waiting to be tapped. It's a good everyday wine that can go with everything and anything. D hates to go on our bi-monthly trips to Carrefour, but when we're nearing the end of a box, I've never seen him move so fast knowing the destination is Carrefour.

We're a bit embarrassed when guests come over and spot the box. We always have an explanation ready to go. Boxed wine might not have the best reputation, but this wine is surpsingly very good. They'll all try it and are pleasantly surprised.

We love boxed wine at our family house too! My mom mixes it with 7up. So, it could be worse, eh?

I think wine boxes may not have as bad of a reputation in Europe. I remember finding juice box size wine boxes in Italy which were perfect for throwing in your bag for an afternoon picnic along with a nice baguette, some ripe tomatoes, and a little fresh mozzarella. Yum. Oh, the memories.
